Nearly 90 years after dazzling audiences with Technicolor, The Wizard of Oz is making history again, this time at Sphere in Las Vegas. The beloved classic has been transformed into a full-immersion sensory experience, filling the Sphere’s 160,000 sq ft, 16K dome with wind in your hair, scents in the air, and soft rumbles under your seat.

We’re skipping hand-in-hand with the caring team at Sphere Studio, the brilliant thinkers at Google DeepMind, Google Cloud, and hundreds of the most courageous artists at Crafty Apes, Digital Domain, Zoic Studios, Haymaker VFX, Gradient Effects, all with the support of Warner Brothers …and many more collaborators worldwide over two years.

Our team was at the creative and technical forefront, bringing the tools, artists, and engineers together in an adventure that forced us to challenge the old rules of filmmaking, while respecting their intent.

We had to unlearn a century of cinematic instincts to explore the boundaries of experiential immersion,
and then invent new tools to adapt the vision of a timeless classic.
